Indication
Rapid relief of moderate to severe pain, inflammation, and swelling associated with musculoskeletal disorders (arthritis, spondylitis), acute injury, post-operative pain, renal colic, and other painful conditions where oral therapy is inappropriate.
Dosage
As directed by physician; usually one injection of 75 mg via deep intramuscular route, may be repeated as advised; IV administration for post-op pain in hospital, use shortest duration necessary.
Side Effects & Precautions
Nausea, vomiting, headache, dizziness, indigestion, injection site pain/redness/swelling, rarely stomach/intestinal bleeding, kidney/liver problems, allergic reactions.
Precautions: Contraindicated in patients with peptic ulcer, severe liver/kidney dysfunction, heart failure, bleeding disorders, pregnancy (third trimester); avoid high doses or prolonged use in elderly or frail patients; regular monitoring for long-term use.
