Indication
Prevention and treatment of iron deficiency anemia and folic acid deficiency, especially in pregnancy, lactation, post-surgical recovery, growing children, and general malnutrition.
Dosage
As directed by physician; typical dose is 5 ml (one teaspoon) once or twice daily after food, preferably diluted in water for best absorption.
Side Effects & Precautions
Mild gastrointestinal discomfort such as constipation, diarrhea, nausea, metallic taste, abdominal pain.
Precautions: Avoid in patients with iron overload disorders (hemochromatosis), peptic ulcer, severe liver/kidney disease, known allergy to ingredients; store in a cool, dry place, out of reach of children.
