Pantoprazole for Injection BP 40 mg (lyophilized powder for solution, for IV use only)

Indication
Short-term treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcers, reflux esophagitis, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, and other pathological hypersecretory conditions when oral therapy is not feasible.
Dosage
40 mg once daily by intravenous injection; as directed by physician. In certain conditions (e.g., Zollinger-Ellison syndrome), dose may be titrated under medical supervision.
Side Effects & Precautions
Diarrhea, headache, nausea, flatulence, dizziness, abdominal pain, vomiting, risk of low magnesium, rare allergic reactions, or long-term risks (bone loss, B12 deficiency).
Avoid in severe liver disease or known allergy to proton pump inhibitors; evaluate before use if pregnant or breastfeeding; not recommended for pediatric use unless advised; Discontinue IV therapy once oral route is possible.
